The www.XenonDepot.com commitment to product quality

HID bulbs and ballasts are not created equally. Our HID lighting products use OEM grade HID bulbs and ballasts to ensure the quality and durability of our product. Our HID kits are assembled in high tech ISO and TUV certified facilities. Poor quality HID kits can have failure rates of around 10% right out of the box and potentially last only 1-2 months. Our HID kits have a failure rate of approximately 0.05% (based on 8 years of selling HID lighting products). Beware of merchants selling low grade HID lighting products that can be a potential fire hazard to your vehicle. Do not compromise your safety when it comes to automotive lighting. Please view this link for some non biased reviews of our products installed:

Our 1 year Legitimate Warranty

The Xtreme HID and Volt HID conversion kits carry a one year legitimate warranty that is handled directly through our company. XenonDepot has been selling HID lighting products online since 2001. We have also been actively supporting many automotive enthusiast forums since that time. You can feel confident in purchasing an HID kit from XenonDepot as we strive to offer you superior products with the highest level of customer service. Don't fall for low cost/poor quality HID kits with gimmick warranties ie: 3 year, 5 year, lifetime, etc.. Remember! A warranty is only good as long as the merchant you purchase your HID kit from stays in business. It is one thing to advertise a warranty; however, very few stand behind their products like we have been doing since 2001.

Hi,

Can you confirm what type of bulb your motorcycle uses for the low beam?

Low is H7, high is H3, does the kit replace both?

XenonDepot
Jul 16th, 2008, 2:18 pm
Hi,

If you wanted to upgrade both the low beam and high beam you would need to purchase 2 kits as your vehicle uses 2 separate bulbs for the low and high beam.

I personally would not suggest upgrading the high beams for 2 reasons:

1) HID bulbs take a moment to fully ignite and reach their desired light output. In situations where you need to flash someone and require a quick burst of light your HID high beams would not be vey functional.

2) It is strenuous on the components to be turned on/off repeatedly ie: flashing people.

I would suggest looking at our 4300k motorcycle kit:

http://www.kbcarstuff.com/4300k_Motorcyle_Xenon_HID_Conversion_Kit_p/mc-4k.htm

You would need to select the "h7" option for your motorcycle.

OK Is it necessary to purchase two kits for my 03 LT or one with two different bulbs? Also will the 8000 be to hot? I like the blue tint, I'm special

XenonDepot
Sep 11th, 2008, 8:27 am
Hi,

To upgrade you LT's low beams you would just need to order 1 kit as your motorcycle only has one bulb for the low beams.

Please view this link for a non biased review of our product installed on an LT:

http://www.kbcarstuff.com/2004_BMW_K1200LT_H7_4300k_Motorcycle_HID_Upgrade_s/171.htm

Here is the link to our motorcycle HID kit page:

http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Motorcycle_Xenon_HID_Conversion_Kits_s/34.htm

Our 8000k kit will not burn hotter than a 4300k kit however keep in mind that the higher you go in terms of colour temperature the more colour you obtain however the less actual useable light output you emit.

What kit do I get for the two low beam lights in a R1200RT

XenonDepot
Mar 26th, 2009, 8:09 am
Hi,

Are you certain that the R1200RT uses 2 bulbs for the low beam or is one for the high and one for the low?

From the information that I have found online it appears that an H7 bulb is used.

Can you please double check your owner's manual?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Ben,

Thank you for contacting me.

This promotion is still on.

The kits normally retail for $199.99 however upon checkout you need to type in this coupon code - "BMWLT" to save an extra 15%.

Your motorcycle uses an H7 bulb for the low beams meaning that you would need to select the "H7" fitment.

greetings. I upgraded my high and low beams with our product. Very very good.

I want to mount additional lights for extremely long distances. Can I mount your bulbs in a set of aftermarket housings under the mirror of the LT?

thanks

Hi Dale,

I am glad to hear that you are happy with the product. What type of bulbs do the housings you are planning on using require?

Steve

dnifong
Oct 2nd, 2009, 9:50 pm
steve,

I'm not sure. What depth housing would be required? Or is a certain type of reflector required. I would like to really reach down the road. I saw a set of lights mounted under mirrors on the LT once that were very impressive. However, they were either 400 or 600 bucks a set?

Can I modify a nice set of aftermarket lamps to hold your bulbs and achieve similar results?

thanks,
dale

hi Guys,

Dale - Potentially, you may not need to modify the housings or bulbs at all. Once you find a set of housings you like you would simply need to order the HID kit in the fitment that the housings use.

Hey Pete! Hope everything is good with you =)
