For you folks in my 'hood and surrounds.
After dropping ole Toad off at Hank's place for rear drive diagnosis, Monte and I stopped in at the new MotoLiberty store on north San Pedro/281. Had a nice chat with the owner (Nathan) who lives up in Bulverde with wifey and coupla kids. Real nice feller. Nice display of the stuff they carry, and a well rounded inventory of ATGATT stuff, including helmets and put-ons.
I noticed an Olympia one piece that may be in my future. Got some pluses and got some minuses, butt I can deal with 'em. Around 300 bones; some mesh panels; double hung zippers; and several security pockets.
Both of us tried on a V-Mar (sp?) helmet. ECE approved flip, with internal, drop down sunvisor. Well built, with good features like liner removal for washing, etc., good ventilation, and easy on/off. However, for Monte, the chin piece in the closed position left his chin below the chinpiece rim - not good. For me, wuz just like the Caberg that I lusted after last year - chin piece smacks my chin. Darn.
Anyway, if you haven't been by, make plans to drop in. This is Nathan's shop, as a franchise owner, and say hi. But don't touch that XL Olympia one-piece, with the high-viz yellow refectors!!!
