From their email blast that went out today:

"Don't miss the food, prizes, fun -- and the Triumph motorcycles demo truck!!! Our Grand Opening for the new shop will be this Saturday, May 24th, from 10 until 2. You'll be able to test ride every Triumph line (qualified riders only, first come, first served). Factory reps will be on hand to answer all of your questions along with some very special guests!

5936 Scarborough Blvd is easy to find. We're the first building West of Brice on Scarborough. That's just South of where Brice crosses I-70. Our new phone number is 614-759-6686.

Time to consider a Scooter? And how does 70 mpg grab you? We've added the Genuine line of scooters and they'll be on display.. Come see the Buddy 125 and of course the legend -- Stella. These are great scooters at a great price.

Finally, we have the all new Ducati 696 in the house. Great bike, awesome new styling and exciting performance. Come see it today.

Hope to see you all this weekend! Don't miss the fun, food, demo truck, and more!!!"

Let's meet at 9:30 at the restaurant on Brice Rd., just north of I-70, on the west side of the street. This used to be a Bob Evans but their web site doesn't list it. In any event there is a restaurant there and they have a parking lot! We'll gather up and depart at approx. 9:55 to ride in at 10:00, the start time of the Open House. Of course, if you want to arrive later help yourself!

It's a very short hop on Brice Road over the interstate, then the first right (Scarborough Blvd), and Motohio is about 100 yards on the right. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding it.

Motohio has promised special www.bmwlt.com (http://www.bmwlt.com/) parking, so if you'll add your name to this thread I'll call ahead with a count.

If you want to have breakfast then say so via reply to this thread; we can meet earlier and have coffee, breakfast, or whatever.

Meeting location has changed. There is NO restaurant at the location previously mentioned, just an empty building.

Those who want breakfast (so far, Paul, John, and me) will meet at 8:30 at the Frisch's restaurant, SE corner of Scarborough Blvd. and Brice Rd. We'll leave at 9:45 to head right across the street and around the corner to Motohio.

Motohio is open 9:00 - 3:00 Saturday. Grand Opening starts at 10:00.

See you all Saturday morning.

Actually, the truth is ... I have a LATE night planned tonight, and I know I won't be able to get up that early tomorrow morning. And when messy13 says "late" . . . he means the wee hours! ;) I might be just gettin home when some of you are pulling out. :D :D :D

Spoke too soon which is not that unusual . . .

There are choices we make along this journey in life like riding a BMW LT to Columbus, staying alone in a motel and having breakfast with the guys versus a baby-back rib dinner from "Rick's", enjoying the company of a good friend (maybe a fire since it's going down to 43) and . . . ;)

I'll still come down on Saturday, but not the breakfast hour or Grand Opening at 10 AM :D

Don't stay out too late.

Howard, I expect a full report with photos. Have fun! You'll get the report, but without photos. My laptop is slowly dying and the flash card reader is one of the casualties. Until I replace the laptop all these photos will keep accumulating on the camera.

I must have missed all you guys. I arrived around 12:30. Great food. Saw enough scooters for a lifetime. One guy must have just bought a Vespa and never ridden a bike before. He revved the engine out and I thought was going to run it right into other bikes while he was leaving.

Parked right beside a beautifully waxed '07, made my bug plastered bike look bad. Met the owner right when we were leaving and told him to get on here and post, stop lurking. :) Hopefully he does.

Hey Neil,

I left at 12:29 -- one minute before you arrived! At that time, Bruce Ridenour (dealership owner) was just getting on the PA -- probably calling my name for a door prize.

John Bowles left a few minutes before me. We both took Triumphs out on a demo ride this morning; John rode a Rocket III (which he hated) and I rode a Tiger (yes, please!). But, for that price I can have 2 V-Strom 650s.

Motohio had great weather for their grand opening, and they had a large turnout.

Franny is there now working at Broughton. I won't finish school until December and am meeting with a realtor this week. I'll track you down one of these days. Has anyone heard from Joe???Did he survive his ordeal??

Howard I also forgot that your name was called. I think you won a black Olympia jacket. But since you weren't there, you lost out. I think that was at 1 they did the raffle. Bruce knew you were there, but then called another name. You'll have to ask Bruce about it next time you're in there.

I want that Husqvarna TE250!!!! Bruce rode it at a ride the other day and could hardly ride it since it was too tall. I think he got lowering links for it now. Those things are $$$$$.

Ouch!!!!! That hurts:)That is exactly the kind of luck I have. If I had stayed another half-hour...

I blame Bruce for not letting anyone know what the day's schedule was.
