Is this for lunch or for supper? I'm going to be in Sonora saturday for my brothers wedding. Maybe I could find a little time to go for a ride. Wedding is at night, that place is about 2 hours from Sonora. I'll have to check with him to see if it will work out.

OK - I guess I can make it. Might be a tad late tho - it's nearly 4 miles here to there!!!
What time you gonna show?
BTW - since we already have our monthly RTE scheduled for June (Moss Hill with Ron and Delores on the 21st), lets just call this one a LunchTE.
BTW #2 - I've been promised I can pick up ole Blue Truck tamale, which means I can get a trailer and drag ole Toad down to Hank for the rear drive check. That oughta give him plenty of time to render a diagnosis - we'll see.

For those of you who knew the secret, you gonna make any changes to the roster?? :histerica I'm gonna drop by Cheesy Janes tamale and give them a headcount for Saturday. The place isn't real big, so I think they'll appreciate some sort of count above their normal lunch crowd. And if you wanna try some other gourmet food close by, there is a Quiznos at the other end of the strip center, and a great Italian restaurant in the middle (Naples). Baskin Robbins is there too, as is DQ across the street - thinkin' of desserts here!!!
Thanks for the shout up on the roster!

It seems like everyone is on their way or already there. It must be nice to have vacation and take it whenever you want to. Not sure about the other guys. It will probably be just me because he is giving a tour around the ranch Sat.
What is it with Texas traditions having weddings at 8:30 in the evening? That is near my bedtime. I have to wake up the next morning at 5 for my plane home.
Is the Texas Hill Country, the curvy roads, 337 and 470? I might take that way home and hit 55 to 277.

Because by 8:30, it's usually cooled down to around 85 or 90.

335, 336, 337 are the best down this way. 470 isn't bad, but it's nothing like the 3 Sisters. Just watch out for the construction on 337 running east out of Leakey.

He wuz eating his supper, and I think he either lost his appetite, or maybe sumpthin' went down the wrong way!! :D
J/K - he's very agreeable for us to show. Told me "hey, you oughta schedule one of your RTEs here every month!".
They do open at 1100, so if those who can, wanna arrive around that time, we can throw some tables in a line before the locals show up. I'll be there just after 1100 (sorry, Doug - you're gonna have to follow the local gendarmes by yoreself :D ).
Y'all ride safe, comin' and goin'. Allow for major winds, like the last several days!
I'll just meet you up there and help y'all drag all the tables together.
It would be SO embarrassing to be late for this one.........

Dayem right!!! Don't know what happened to my pics, butt the camera didn't throw out enough light, I guess. Maybe I can doctor 'em up on the program, when I have 8 hours to spare.
Hey - did you get an attendee list? That's your job, you know!! :stir:
And BTW - did Mindy do a great job of takin' care of the table, or what?!!! I don't know if she had help down where y'all were seated, butt she didn't miss a click at Edgar's end of the table. Sure hope everyone left her a good leetle tip. She just graduated from high school and is taking an entry test Monday to try and qualify for a paid tuition to an industrial engineering curriculum up at Shriner. And anytime someone can go toe-to-toe with Edgar, you know they got sumpthin' besides just wit!!

Really glad he came down from Ohio just for the burger and shake!!! ;) I entertained thoughts of riding back part way with him, butt he needed to be back in Sonora by 4:00pm and I didn't wanna slow him down!!! :D

Hey, while you're on a roll, we're doing a 12k on Davey's LT tamale. Figger we're gonna wait 'til it gits hotter'n hell before we start - like maybe 1:00-ish o'clock or so. C'mon over and kibbitz - be Monte, Doug, Davey, me, and four Geisha ladies.
OK - would you believe four floor fans?!! ;)

But, hey, thanx for the invite to suffer with y'all. I'm sure we'll be doing enough of that next Saturday.

A new 12k record (for Boerne) - just under 4 hours (excluding brake line flushing). Changed tranny and engine fluids, checked valve clearances, replaced air and fuel filters, new spark plugs. We still cussed the alignment of the seat bracket and gas tank bolts as we have at every 12k party. I hope they fired the engineer who designed that part. And we lost one of them two glove box Phillips head screws inside the LT somewhere (Dick had a spare). One torx screw left over, but Dick spotted the empty hole on top of the stingray when he backed it out to the street.
I remember my first 12k - I watched Paul Sayegh's video several times, and it still took Friday night, all day Saturday and part of Sunday and a couple of phone calls to Grif, who was the only guy we knew who had done it before. Of course, it was a 4-man pit crew this time. Thanks Dick, Doug and Monte!

I hope his tires come out of that. They looked twice as bad when I got home from 336 and 335. I was a little late on my 4 o'clock deadline, I think my brother started to get worried. They were completely tore up. I've never had my Avons do that. And all I do is ride curves around here. I took a chunk out of his lower fairing on both sides also. I told him, "I had to make it look like mine. You also need to add oil to your rear shock or get new shocks. Throttle grip comes off from turning so hard. Your 300 dollar helmet is horrible compared to my Symax II. Ya miser!" :D
I had a gret ride. The food and everything was awesome. Nice meeting everyone.
I just rode out of Cleveland before a big thunderstorm rolled in. :)

Nice to meet you, Neil!
Good job, Boerne pit crew. I really wanted to join y'all, but the just the thought of wading out into Sunday traffic around here (Canyon Lake) gave me the shudders. I have to have at least one day away from the general populace, as it may be.
Looking forward to next Saturday.

BTW, Bones just left. Did a 12k on his bike and some electrical farkles... not to mention eating pizza and drinking water like it was hot outside.Sorry, I have been away from the computer for a few days. A big thanks to Grif for the 12K. I had fun all day. Being the mechanic that I am, I did a little bit of the work. I will say that ....I used power tools! That's right, I used tools that work by themselvs, on my bike. Who's yer daddy now?
Jerry, it was OK! It was'nt that bad. You gotta try it.:D
I got home that night a little after 11:30pm and had something that has NEVER happened before. I was just under 30 miles from home on a dark four lane road and had my viser up and windshild down to get some air. I was sitting up with my head in the breeze and thwack, thwack pow. I hit two big bugs and one hit me right on the side of my head and got stuck between my helmet and left ear. No problem, I'll keep going but then it started to try to crawl. Ewww! I go from 70 to stopped on the side in less than three seconds, take off my gloves and get my helmet off, hold it up to the light of the moon, only to find a two inch cockroach trying to get away. Aggghhhh, I went threw a small swarm of flying cockroaches! Man that creeps me out.
The RTE was great. It was good to meet Rocky the new guy and Neil all the way from Ohio just to eat with us. Grif took me up on some roads that I would not have found. What a blast they were. When was the last time your bike had a back tire up in the air?

Opps, I forgot to mention that while Grif was popping off drain plugs and I was taking off J-peg mounts, out of nowhere Grif tells me"your rear end looks good". The rest of the story goes back to the "don't ask, don't tell".:D
