At least on my F-150. My wife was driving while I slept coming back from N. Ga. to Va. Beach. Im trailering my LT back. My four dogs wouldnt fit in the LT trunk or my wife and I would have been riding the LT back. I was awakened by cars and trucks skidding all over the place on I-40 near Winston-Salem. She came over a hill doing seventy and 20 feet away cars were at a dead stop. The last car in the stopped traffic saw us and moved to the right giving my wife the only hope we had. Keep in mind we are pulling a dual axle 7 x 14 enclosed trailer. She braked hard with no other choice and the trucks ABS kicked in and brought us straight in the middle of the stopped cars and the car that moved all the way right.
The four point tie down recommended for the LT worked like a champ. The bike didnt even move! Also having a trailer with elec. brakes is something I will make sure to have always as it sure helped this time. It could have been very bad.
