I tried a set of 205's one time because I needed one and that was all the dealer had. I had no problems with them. They lasted about as long as the original Exedra's did. I prefer the 880 at least as far as mileage. The new Dunlop Roadsmart might be fine but I haven't even checked if they come in the right size.

I just picked up a D220 front tire from CycleGear on closeout. $80.
Haven't installed it yet. We'll see how it does.

I have used both the Metz 880 and the Dunlop 205B. For me, the Dunlop was superior to the Metz and less expensive. The last rear Dunlop got approximately 19000 miles (the center section was bald by then). I get less howling from the front tire than with the Metz and a more responsive turn-in feel. Also good wet road traction in my opinion.

I really like the Dunlops I've had on other bikes. I'm dissappointed in the Mezt's on the LT tho, they feel slippery in the rain. Will definitely go with Dunlop the next time.

I am sooooo tempted to cause trouble this morning.
Okay, so what kind of motor oil works best with which brand of tire?
Did you get better fuel milage using synth or dino oil with Dunlops? Do Avon tires run better with Castrol or the BMW factory oil?
Did the front wheel wobbles with Metz 880s diminish with Rotella in the crankcase?
Has anyone tried the combination of Amzoil with nitrogen in the tires? Has it made you look thinner and taller and increased your libido?
Personally, I run 1 ounce of OxyClean added to the gas in my gas tank, nitrogen-filled Metz 880s, Marvel Mystery Oil in my final drive, a couple of Cialis in my transmission and a proprietary blend of dino, synth, and biodiesel in the crankcase. It runs smooooth.

I wonder if motorcycle tires are affected by sitting on the shelf for YEARS like vehicle tires are. I saw the news bit on it and just makes me wonder

KenYes, age affects all tires. Why would motorcycle tires be immune to aging?

That's a good start, but you need to put Viagra in your fork oil.
It keeps your front end up! :histerica

Thanks for the input. Just not happy with that slippery feel in the moist that the Metz has. Does Pirelli make a model that fits?
