I tried to search this before posting, but all the other threads talk about the older style and say to replace the throttle cables. I have a 2006 LT with just under 13k on it. I nocticed today that the throttle stays open for a few seconds after I release the grip. The cruise works. It does eventually go back down. But if I am accelerating, and let go of the throttle, it will continue to excellerate for a few seconds before going back down.

any suggestions?

If it is not a quick fix I will let the dealer fix it since I am going to be out of town next week and it is still under warrantee.

Get your dealer to replace your throttle cables while its under warranty.

It sounds like the throttle cables are binding. Mine did that. When I checked the little opening under the throttle the cable was almost broken. A new set of cables is most likely called for.

Called Max BMW today about my throttle. They guy on the phone said, "just a minute, let me see if I have the parts in stock, if I do we can get to it right away" He comes back on the phone, says they don't have the parts. I told him I could drop it off tomorrow and since I am going out of town Sunday and won't be back until thursday, I will pick it up then. He says great, he will order the parts today. So we will see what happens.

I suppose you tried changing the tension adjustment on the cables up by the grip?
