Radio Aux Function

Does anyone know how to access the Aux function in a 2000 LT?

First to see if you have it press the CD button and it will show up in the window. You won't have it if your unit has a cassette player in the oddiments box.


Now if you do have it then you need to get a cable that plugs into the rear of the radio. Check the accessory section under mp3 etc for a thread on the cable. Or I can provide pins outs if you want to make your own.

Is there any way to break into the radio and connect an auxiliary plug?

A cassette type radio, that is.

It does not have the connector and I have not seen an internal schematic of the radio so it would be tough.

Your best bet is to use one of those cassette adapters, they actually work pretty well.
