Sorry to ask something so simple but what size are the tires on the LT?
Mine is a 2000 LT if that makes a difference.
Thank you!

120/70VB-17 Front
160/70VB-17 RearThat's correct. In addition, you have to watch the weight rating, especially on the rear tire. The front is pretty standard at 58W (58 = 520 lbs and W = up to 168 mph), but there are very few tires that meet the weight rating required for the the rear, which is 79V (79 = 963 lbs and V = up to 149 mph).

Obviously the speed ratings aren't an issue on the LT, but the rear tire weight rating is. Most of the correct rear tires for the LT are marked as "reinforced" or otherwise called out special, even from the same brand of tire in the same size but a different weight rating.

And the reason you want the tire to be labeled as Ken sez, is because?? Yup, you're right, cuz BMW sez the permissible front end loading is 450#s of front end weight, and 886#s of rear end weight. So, you wanna tire that is spec'd for, at minimum, those weights. Nice to have a leetle extra margin in tire weight rating.

I haven't but many have and they don't seem to hold up and wear out quickly. Metzlers seem to get the highest rankings for mileage. Here's a link (http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/faq.php?faq=accessories_faq#faq_accessories_faq_tires) to the Hall of Wisdom and another link (http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/faq.php?faq=k1200lt_faq_brakestires#faq_k1200lt_faq_availabletires) to the FAQ that contains information about tires. The Bridgestones that are listed there are radials, which aren't being made any more but a bias tire is. And the Avon Azaro is out and the Storm is in. The Storm is either a you love it or hate it tire.
