My parents retired to SW MO (outside of Lamar) a year and a half ago, but they ride the dreaded goldwing <shudder> too. Lots of good roads south of 44 and in NW Arkansas. SR90 just north of the border's one I like to ride to Washburn/Roaring River state park when I'm out visiting them.

Nothing wrong with a Goldwing, I have a goldwing trike. They make a bullet proof bike. The beemer is just a great handling bike, it's flaw as everyone knows is the rear drive. But I still don't have any reservations about hitting the road for multiple days of riding. I'm just looking forward to exploring the area. Thanks
