My R1150 GSA badly needs to have the sidestand extended as it leans over way to far.
-What is the best Extension lentgh?
I've heard 1 3/8" - 1 1/2" inches.
Whats the best way to Extend it??
I have access to a welder.

Tried the Jesse extender, went so far as to cut off orgional as directed and installe , only to discover major interferance with the centerstand.
Took it off, slid the shank of a headless bolt into sidestand shaft, reinstalled origional foot section, rewelded maybe extending 1/2 inch.
Check your sidestand clearance to centerstand when both are retracted before you do anything. Once you determine how thick you can make the sidestand base, just fab a block of alum or rubber and attach to bottom of the sidestand foot.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Go to your local sporting goods store, purchase a $0.99 hockey puck, stop at the hardware store and get 3 stainless steel #10 nuts and bolts and attach the puck to the stock stand. Clears the muffler perfectly and straitens out the stance of the bike.
