anyone having a terrible loss of mileage lately? if so someone find somehting off the wall, not found by motronic checks?
I'm down in the 31 mpg range,
and before it;s asked again, no I'm not riding the bike any differently and this is just about all highway mileage over the last 4-7 tanks of gas
(complete fills 8-9 gls at different stations while traveling) so i find a bad tank of gas unlikely

The worst mileage I ever had was fully loaded fighting windstorms crossing the Mojave and central California. I got about 34 MPG. Otherwise for normal commuting and local riding I average 38-39 MPG. I always have my Micatech Pilot cases mounted and I have the largest of the Cee Bailey windshields. I am not particularly gentle on the throttle but there isn't a lot of riding in excess of 65 MPH in those numbers either.
I haven't seen anything unsual going on with mile fuel economy.

Have you tried to check your computer by calculating your mileage? I found mine to be off slightly. I usually get 38-41. You should be doing better than 31.

The MPG on my 07 GSA started in the mid 30's, and after a few thousand miles, would be fairly consistant in the low 40's. 40-42 mpg. This is traveling at highway speeds 75-80 mph, across country to West Bend and back last summer, and other locations in the west.
Bike had a Cee Baily w/s (tall) installed with no change in fuel mileage. Jesse Safari bags did not impact the mileage.
I have saved every fuel receipt from the beginning, except for two, and keep a spread sheet on fuel economy.
In Jan this year, I installed two Baja Designs HID lamps, and the MPG is now around 33-35. Lost 3-4 mph with the lamps installed. Considering taking them off for now. Only hit over 40 mpg once since Jan 10, and that was at speeds in the 45 mph range, tail winds, etc.

I am not riding a GS but I notice bad milage when I get gas with to much alcohol in it. In the west, if I buy fuel in southern Cal or Las Vegas - I get poor mileage compared to fuel from Arizona or Utah (no Alcohol)
