The Hawaii thing came to an end when I mentioned that the COL is %68 higher in Hawaii than FlatLand; and they responded with a %20 bump.
I politely said kissmyass & nofreakinway but Thank you for thinking of me.http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif

If you turn your hear just a little to the left, and cock your head over to the right just a tad, then squint both eyes just right, you can;t see the dang sneakers.http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif
I wore my riding boots up from FlatLand on Tuesday and by the time I made it to the IronHorse my ankles were doing their dromedary camel imitations.
Both were swollen pretty bad so I put on TED hose to help force the fluids out.
The sneakers, while not the perfect riding boot, allowed me to continue riding while at STC.
I have a pair of Sidi Doha Boots ordered that should arrive in the next week.

I've tried several types & styles of boots and found none so far that work for me.
So the sneakers are a calculated risk I was willing to take.

John taught me or reinforced that riding position during his Slow Speed Handling School.
It works great at speed as well.

Just kidding I have gathered that you are one serious and safety conscience rider.
You may want to try Medi stocking over the Ted hose much more comfortable and not as hot or itchy. They are also available in many mmHg's.
