I will be fly-fishing in Last Chance, ID from the 24th to the 27th. Is it possible to attend part of the CCR?
If I made it in on the evening (hopefully before dark) of the 27th. Would it be worth it for a day or two? When does everyone pull out?
Does the CCR fill up? Should I get registered right away???
Anyone heading thru St Louis, on the way back?
Thanks,
Jeff
BTW: Last year when I was heading west to fish (same place) I kept seeing all those LTs going east (to Missouri's CCR) I wanted to be both places last year!

Most of us pull out Saturday morning. It's well worth attending, even showing up the 27th. We've had folks just show up for the banquet!!!
There's tons to do and the best part is the folks. All motorcycle minded and like a big family.
You'll love it, sign up!

I think it was Don Arthur that rode in to Hot Springs, AR from Washington, DC for the banquet and then rode home the same night.

'mon down. A day or two is better than none.
A lot of people leave on Saturday, as we will. And as some, we will be going through St Louis getting back home.
What's the deal with 64 being closed in St Louis? How to get around it coming from Paducah?

They did shut down 64, it's hard to believe. It seems the highway dept is proud to be the 1st major city in the US to "shut down a major roadway in & out of the city (for 2 years) for construction purposes.
There is no easy way around the "shutdown".
If, as I suspect, you will be coming in on I-70, just stay on 70 and go thru downtown and pick up 64 again as soon as you cross the Mississippi River in IL. If for some reason you are on 40 highway you have to detour. If it's not rush hour, take 270 south all the way around until it becomes 255 in IL, it will hook up with 64 on the IL side. You will miss all of downtown, and seeing the Arch, but won't have to sit in traffic.
I was actually thinking of coming back from UT down thru CO and on to highway 50 across KS.. I'm sure it will be slow, but I just don't enjoy the interstate as much as the smaller roads..
Anyone else interested in taking highway 50?
Thanks,
Jeff
