Looked at the article and picture, doesn't look like a GS to me. The exhaust is on the wrong side and the bike has a to much plastic up front. Hope the Rider pulls through.

That is (was) a C-14 ridden by Mark Day from the Sac COG club. He broke his pelvis and leg and probably many more injuries. He was conscious and talking to his wife and will probably be airlifted to my hospital (Med Center) soon if he hasn't already.

Article says he was taken to San Jose. He's lucky to be alive. Head on with an SUV:(

Apparently he is out of the surgeries on his wrist and leg in San Jose, and they are deciding whether or not to send him to the Med Center (I think) for surgery on his pelvis. According to his friends he is doing as OK as you can in that situation.

There seems to be a rash of bike/scoot vs auto/suv accidents lately. On ModernVespa, recently, the ediitor of "Scoot" magazine was on a ride with several scooters, when a group of autos, who are into "drifting" were on a ride in the opposite direction. One of the drivers of those autos lost control of his car, crossed the double yellow and head-on'd Josh Rogers. Look at the link and the damage to both the scooter and car. Josh not only survived the crash but is on the road to recovery at home.

Almost every morning there is at least one traffic report about a collision involving a motorcycle in the Sacramento area.

Higher gas prices = more motorcycles and scooters on the road, many new riders, and preoccupied and/or aggressive car drivers,

= more accidents.... sucks..
