Thanks for the info. My wife and I are heading there in a few weeks. We were considering Big Bend but really wanted to do the Hill country. This web site looks like it will be most helpful.

Let's hope this doesn't mean "the vanishing Hill Country".... Once the money shows up, things will change.. just come visit Austin to see what I mean.

I hope your wrong, but every time I ride the Sisters I see new development encroaching inward. Course there is a vacant lot for sale along 335 right outside Camp Wood I would give my left one for. :rolleyes:

Last time we were there, I mentioned to my lovely bride "remember how I said we should buy some land out here?" It's then I get "THE LOOK"... which means, "I'm not done with your LEFT or RIGHT one, yet."

It's not going to get cheaper! That's why we bought when and where we did. Now we are paying the price of the 60 mile rt commute with $3.50 gas but it is worth it. (ask me again when it hits $4.00....but at least the LT gets 48 mp3.5)

We have not decided if we want retirement property in the Hill Country, Colorado, Arizona or in the Pacific Northwest. We really haven't made up out minds yet. Want to keep our property here and have another place to vacation to.

And NO, I do not want to buy anyone's time share property. :D
