I rolled out of the IronHorse at 08:40 and into the Casa at 17:30.

It was a bit crisp this morning but by the time I hit the Florida Line I changed to the Mesh Gear.

This photo is just for a time reference as it's 3 minutes from the Casa.

I had a Great Ride even though every Georgia Highway Patrol as well as the Florida Highway Patrol cruiser was on I75, or so it seemed.

I had a wonderful time on this road trip to the Smoky Mountains and really enjoyed all of the riding and hanging out with my extended family and friends.

Total Trip Miles 1,995

Hey Dave, I now know why you can leave Iron Horse a good 45 minutes after me, travel about 60 miles further and arrive home at the same time that I did. To be fair, I did kill about 30 minutes prior to your passing me when I stopped for brunch. However, when you blew by me on I75 your back draft about sucked the headlight out of my fairing. Glad you made it safely and without any performance awards. Even though the bilge pump in my tent failed, it was a great weekend.

Glad you made it home Dave!

Dan and Dave from Philly and Connecticut (receptively) left the Ironhorse at 6 am yesterday and I pulled in to my home at 10:37 last night. We hit rain and/or traffic almost from Virginia to NJ. The only place where I can honestly say there was no traffic was in NEW YORK! Once I hit the NYC, I flew home on the at speeds that would have made Joe and Brett proud!

Thanks to everyone for fun. This past week was a blast!

LOL, you were towing a trailer so that prolly held you back!

Glad you made it safe.

Dave, did you get a new pair of tennis shoes? :rotf:

I saw your pics on the killboy site for friday. Looks great. I think I read something a while ago about your feet swelling, so it will be accepted :)

I have tried several different types of boots but no matter the size they make my feet hurt and swell.

I wore them Up & Back but not while there.

I have ordered a pair of the Sidi Tennis Shoe Boots, we'll se how they do for me.

Great time at STC 4 !!! As RVB1019 mentioned it was mostly wet... However Rob, Dan and myself made decent time. I made it home in 12 hours to the minute, 6:02am to 6:02pm. I wore a new pair of Olympia "Waterproof" rain gloves :( . I think these took on more water than Lynn Keen's tent .... I don't think they will ever be wearable again. Great to see everyone, can't wait for next year

Anybody heard from Fred from Connecticut? I was hoping he'd post some info and an update. He had a laptop at the Iron Horse.

Fred was going to hang around until Monday. Depending on what Progressive did and the availability of a rental car. Have not heard from him yet.

Talked with Cathy at Ironhorse this date, Charlene carried Fred to Ashville to get a rental car, Insurance company was sending a truck to take the LT to BMW dealer for estimate.

I think Fred was going to VA to visit children enroute home, maybe we get an uapdate from him....nevertheless he is on the road headed back via cage.
