Thought I'd say "howdy" to you good 'ol boys ;)

I travel out to South Carolina (Greenville) yesterday and what do I find? "No room at the Inn", it felt like a Christmas story.....of old.

The place I had reservations didn't have power. I finally found a hotel, after 4 hours of searching.

When I travel for business I don't bring my camera. I regret that now. The ice covered trees that blanket the hills was an incredible sight. As screwed up as my travel plans got, it was worth it to see something that few people from the left coast ever get to see.

Now that the sun is out, what beautiful country. A bit messy for a m/c ride with all the trees down, but looks like it would be fantastic after things get cleared up.

Welcome to the South, Bill. Come back in the Spring, Summer or Fall with your ride and you will have a ball. Or even Winter without ice, for that matter. We just dodged the bullet not getting the ice here in Tennessee this time. We had a terrific ice storm here about 5-6 years ago, and believe you me, it's no fun going without power for two weeks with it 15 degrees outside. All the "adventure" went out of that experience after about the first 24 hours. :(
