I will not be going to the show this weekend and have an internet ticket available for someone that is. My loss is your gain. No charge. Let me know otherwise I will leave it with Ted at A&S tomorrow.

I need to go to Tracy this weekend and drop a houseware package off at my sisters's house. I'll probably go tomorrow morning and continue to the show from there. I should be in San Jose by 10-12. If anyone wants to go, leaving time is way flexible. And I plan on seeing everything and take pictures at the show in a few hours. Back home by 4 sharp.:):p I guess I could get up real early to have breakfast. Is it 8:15 at Flag City or how about 10:00 in Livermore? Help Bob.

Hii folks: I went to the show, today; and wait 'til you guys feast your eyes on the new K1200GT. At first, I thought it was an RT, until I got closer. I'm sure one or more of you might have already seen this machine, but it was a first for me. Very Impressive!!!!!!
Raffy, you should have waited to see that model before you took the plunge! See you all in the Spring!!!!!

Due to weather forcast and the fact Hal is taking a nice warm car to the show, I am joining him and canceling the 8:15am I-5 / Hwy 12 McDonalds rendezvous.
See everyone at the show.

Good choice Doug,
Just got back from working the show today - The ride down was great and it wasn't even raining when I left......
But it got ugly in a hurry, and nobody seems to know how to drive in the rain! You would have thought there was 2 feet of snow on the road the way people were driving out there. Got a little wet and cold by the time I reached the house, average temp was 42 degrees and did I mention that the traffic sucked!
Good show though, and the GT has possibilities.... :D

I went to the show today with Bob Rasters, Nick Burkitt and Rob Bridenbecker. It was good with lots of bikes. The venue is much better than the San Mateo farigrounds IMHO. Here's a link (http://taylor.bmwlt.net/SJShow.htm)to some pictures I took at the show, including the new K1200GT and R1200GS Adventure.

Sam - is that you're LT and sidecar at San Jose BMW?

i went sunday ... i like the san jose facility a lot better. here are a few observations.
lots of spandex babes traipsing around. this is not a complaint.
The seat on the K1200GT looks pretty lame, but i like the bike overall.
No 800 cc parallel twin ... i guess the u.s. has to wait.
The GT was the only thing new there that i saw from BMW.
I like the Guzzi 1100 Breva but not the Grisso.
If you like cruisers (I do) you will like yamaha's new star motorcycle line. very nice looking, IMHO.
the BIG news for me was the new Wing, with fully integrated electronics. it is really cool the way all electronics, including GPS, is integrated into one control panel and one central display. very seamless. nice package all around. looks heavier then the LT and prolly still doesn't handle as well, but very well designed.

I have read in several places and confirmed with my in-country German friends that BMW is not planning to import the F800 series to the USA, at least not the first year. However, they are planning to import the HP1. Like the HP2, a similarly hopped up, off road version of the F650GS in very limited supply with a return to the Rotax. ;)

I sat on the GT for a few minutes and the seat felt OK. But that doesn't tell anyone much about any seat BMW makes; my guess is an upgrade from the aftermarket will be a regular thing for this bike as well. I really like the GT, that's a contender to replace the LT in my garage.
BMW also had the R1200GS Adventure on display. It was directly opposite the GT along the middle aisle of the show floor.

Jim, Doug, Chuck and I just got back from the San Jose show. Saw Raffy at the show.
Interesting day, neck's a little sore though, a LOT to see scantily clad....
One HDDC member had their new bike take a 2nd place trophy in the Ducati Monster bike show, pretty cool! He can fill you in on the details...
Checked out the new GT, I think it's MUCH better looking in person than the pictures... Pretty damn cool...
Nice day with fun people!

I sat on most of the bikes at the show. The only bike that felt like I was sitting in the bike not on the bike was the LT!
