I'd like to know if any members using a Fort Worth Rack have installed a passenger backrest? If so would you let me know what you choose and how much you like it, or more importantly how much your passenger liked it.

I just got the rack and like it. I, too, would be interested in knowing about other's experiences with a back rest.

...I thought the purpose of the rack is for solo riding, otherwise I would keep the trunk for the passenger.

That top case is over 40lbs., and noticably changes the handling characteristics of the LT. The only time I'm going to use the top case is on a really long trip when my SO is coming along. For a short ride (less than 400KM) something like the Bakup Passenger Backrest will provide her with the support she is looking for without the added weight and raised centre of gravity.
