I have investigated Left rear speaker over the last week with the view
to install a switch to change from on board audio to the audio output
from my Naviagator 11 which has a 2.5mm jack.

If its any help the round connector at the rear of the bike under the passenger seat is the Audio connector.
The left hand speaker drive is on the Left hand side looking to the rear
the right connector goes to the speakers

The Yellow and Yellow/Purple wires are the Left speaker.

If there is no sound from the left side try disconnecting the plug
and measuring across the speaker with an multimeter should read very low ohms. 4 ohms or so. If you decide to cut them remember to cut them with enough room to fit a new connector or twist and solder with heat shrink.

Getting to the left speaker looks like a bit of a pain it's beind lots of plastic
inside the top box.

I fitted a toggle switch to this speaker from my Navigator and it works a treat.

Hope this is of some help

Tony

Actually, getting to the speaker is fairly easy. There are screws that need to be removed from inside the top box and the left armrest, that holds the speaker, comes off.
