I actually have two issues with my V.O.I.C.E.II system on my 05.

When shifting, the radio gets muted and opens my microphone circuit (as if the PTT button had been pushed). Could I have a frayed cable in the left handle bar rubbing on the shift cable?
When I plug the cell phone cable (BMW version) into my VOICE II system, it doesn't feel very secure. And, every time I hit a bump or shift, it causes static, mutes the radio and in general, kills my ears.
I plan on having BMW look at it whenever the special new cables BMW says are on order for my CB come in and are to be installed. Any ideas in the meantime?

Boy, do I hate making this post.

After I wrote my question yesterday, I got to thinking about how I worded it and noticed that I had used the PTT button as a reference. Now, where is the PTT button located? DUH! On the left handle bar.

With the onset of winter in earnest here, I've been wearing my heavy winter gloves and without realizing it, I was brushing the PTT button with my thumb occasionally when I would shift. What happens when you do that? Your radio is muted and the microphone is on. Wow! What a doofus I am sometimes. :D

Ok, only one problem remains.

Now, anyone experience the jack being excessively loose for the cell phone patch cord?

And while we're on this topic, is there anywhere else where I could buy just the cord to connect my cell phone to the VOICE II system? I need a longer one and I'm not buying another expensive BMW one.
