Yeah.. that was on our local Austin news last night.... poor guy... hope he makes a full recovery.. ATGATT!!! even when standing on the roadside!!!

Man - that definitely hurt. Sure seems like the news is reporting more and more of these kinds of events.

I think Hillsboro, OR is where John and Marilyn Fisher hang out together. Be interesting to see the outcome of the prosecution.

That was on the news here last night too. They didn't elaborate on the officer's condition thought. Hope he's all right!

It's pretty amazing how this one little video is getting National coverage. Still, if it gets people's attention if only for a minute then that's a good thing.

Not sure about the outcome of the trial, but the officer has recovered. In fact, if you watch the video (from our local NBC affiliate up here) you are watching the officer himself explaining what happened! So he has fully recovered and is back on patrol on board one of the new ST-1300's the Hillsboro force has recently switched over to.

Thank Heavens the driver behind saw it all and stopped to block traffic so that the officer didn't get run over again!
