03-13-2008 @ 10:17PM: I had to update the dates. I screwed up and put the wrong dates down. The dates below are now correct. Sorry about that. I put dates that I was already teaching a class.

Gentlemen,

I have some info for you regarding the ERC for BMWLT.

I need 10 People to run a separate class just for us. The only range I can get would be the Eli Whitney Range in Hamden. We can run it pretty much any Saturday or Sunday afternoon starting at 2 PM or so. The cost is the same as any regualrly scheduled ERC. I would love to be able to run you guys through the ERC. So with that here a couple of Dates.

UPDATED:

MAy 4th, 31st
June 15th
July 13, 27th
Aug 10th, 24th

If we can not get 10 people to go and you still want to take the ERC then sign up at your local Range.

So please respond and let me know if you would like to do this.

Jim

BTW: If you have any non BMW guys that would like to join us please let them know that they are welcome. I will need firm commitments so I can get the class added to the schedule. Even if we do not get 10, I may still be able to run it but there will be others in the class with us.

I will sign up for May 31st, and July 26th but if you do the other two days I will try to make myself available. This is something I want to do every year but just never get to it..

How long before you lock in the date?

May is too early for me. The June date is Fathers day. The only date I could commit to at this point is end of August.

OK, I updated my calender so I don't agree to work on the any date that is eventually chosen. I will try to make the new dates except for Sunday, June 15 which is Fathers Day and August 24th. I hope to be already on my way to CCR.

For planning purposes.. normally ERC starts in the AM and I think run all day. If we start at 2 PM how long will these sessions run..

We will run until Dark. The range I work at is booked fully this year. This never happens from what I am told. So I been given permission to run it after a BRC is done in the morning. The instructor doing the BRC prior to our ERC is very good and He may be done by 1 Pm. Even starting at 2 we should have about 6 hours of light more than enough time to do the ERC.

Gentlemen,

Seeing that there are ERCs in CT that you may want to take. I am rescinding my offer to teach a ERC this summer. I do not want you guys to miss out on taking one if you really want to. There only very few run each year. We have not had the response that I was hoping/needed for running one just for the LT site guys. So unless we get another 4 to 5 people that agree on one of the dates that I put out by Wednesday this week. I will have to cancel the plans. I think this will give you enough time to sugn up for one of the existing ERCs in CT.

Sorry but I really do not want you guys to miss out on the classes and if we can not pull together a date that works for all of us then I this is the next best thing.

JIm

Thanks for spending the time to set up a ERC for LT's and others, Jim. To bad we have such limited interest. I'll catch the ANG site ERC in July. It will be my 6th on the LT. I repeat the course for my Pillions sake. I relate it to a pilots annual check ride to keep certified.
