I have noticed lately that when I am using this site, which I really enjoy until lately, that there is a slow down when I am going about the site. :( A message indicating that the site is waiting for google-analytics.com shows in the progress bar.

This is really frustrating. I hope that there is some way around this that can be found by the site administrators.

Thanks for a great site - I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but this really is frustrating.

Never received that message and haven't noticed any change in access speed at work or home DSL. I'm using Mozilla 5.0 as my default browser.

I'm not seeing that at all. I just checked the google analytics code and there seems to be no slowdown here.

I am having the same problem with my machine. It's an Intel 386 box, with 2 MB RAM, at 32 Mhz. Sure seems slow. :)

I had to have Google discontinue Google Analytics on my Blog because it slowed page rendering substantially.
