I just got a call that church is canceled for tomorrow. That's the first time in over 30 years! This is CRAZY!!! There is snow everywhere!!! The snow plows are getting stuck! Thank God I have a full load of firewood and plenty of libations for the little lady and myself. :)

Thanks for taking that bullet for us, Joe. It's been 70+ here al week, but it does get into low 50s at night. So we appreciate your sacrifice. :rotf:

We had a very light dusting here yesterday, but the sun came out, we got out and the temps are supposed to be back in the mid to upper 60's by late next week!

Watching the WC last night, they were in Cleveland and said the same as you, snow, snow and more snow!

Columbus TV stations reported this storm -- officially a blizzard for a time -- as the highest snowfall amount ever for the state of Ohio. 20" in some places.

It's hard to tell how much snow is in central Ohio because of all the drifting, but I'd say we may have a foot. A common occurrence for you guys in extreme northern states, but not so common for central Ohio. I tried to plow the driveways with the tractor yesterday but the wind kept blowing it closed.

We also got a ton of snow. Just plugged in the tractor to plow the half mile of lane we got.

But ... it's supposed to be in the mid 40s by Wednesday. I can only hope it goes UP from there.

Yeah, Thanks Joe!:p :D I'm sick and I still had to take a ride in the nice weather up here (only 67 and sunny here, but I did OK). Did about 80 miles up on the hill on the way to my brother's to watch the Duke - UNC game.

I hope you dig out soon, May will be here quicker than you know!

Joe,

To feel your pain, I left the 70+ degree temperatures here in So Cal and went to the ski slopes in Big Bear this weekend to learn how to snowboard on icy/slushy moutainsides with temperatures in the upper 40's.

Didn't do too bad, I didn't damage myself in any way, just the pride as a 3 year old was out doing me after an hour on the board.

I finally, after 3 hours of plowing, got my van out of the drive yesterday. Just in time to make it to noon mass. First thing the priest said to the packed church was, "Ok, raise your hand if you prayed for snow! --a couple of hands went up--- Now be sure to thank these people before you leave today."

No, just the usual foxes, skunks, opposums and rabbits. As soon as our new neighbor the groundhog comes out of hibernating, we can take him off our backyard buddy list!
