There was recently a great write up published in webbikeworld.com about installing our H7 4300k Motorcycle Specific HID conversion kit in a 2004 K1200LT. This write up was actually written by forum member Pete Van Dyke. Pete contacted us a little while ago about our motorcycle lighting kits. He expressed that he was interested in our product however was concerned as he has had a previous negative experience installing an HID conversion kit in his motorcycle from an alternate vendor.

XenonDepot has been selling HID lighting kits since 2001. We actually started supporting this forum in October 2006. Our motorcycle kits are backed by a one year warranty that covers both the ballasts and bulbs used in our kit. The Motorcycle ballasts used in our kit are made in Japan and are designed specifically for motorcycle applications . Our motorcycle kits are not just automotive kits split into two. The differences between our motorcycle kits and car kits are:
- Our motorcycle kit will provide you with approx 6 feet of slack between the ballast and bulb. This will offer you greater flexibility in terms of where to mount the ballast. Automotive kits split into two will only offer you approx 1.5 feet.
- The ballast is designed to accommodate the added vibrations from a motorcycle.
- The ballasts are epoxy sealed to ensure that they are water tight.
The bulb that we use in our 4300k motorcycle kit is genuine German made Philips capsule. This is the same type of bulb that is used in OEM HID applications and has the highest lumens rating (lumens = brightness).
Our product was also recently reviewd by Paul Glaves in BMW ON for those of you that missed that issue.
