My brother-in-law, Robert C. Disharoon, passed away today, March 4, 2008 at age 43 after a long battle with skin cancer. Bob was a great guy and the real deal, army special forces, and 82nd Airborne all the way.
Please visit his memorial web site. In the photo section, you will be able to pick Bob out of the crowd. He was 6'7", a head taller than anyone else.
Please keep his wife and son in your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear of your family's loss. My heart goes out to his wife and son. A also will say a prayer for his parents. If they are still alive, this has to be an ordeal for them as well.

Dave,
I'd like to extend my condolences to you and your family on the loss of Robert.
I spent 29-1/2 years in Special Forces (1st, 7th, and SF Det-Korea),
but our paths never crossed.
I hope that in time, the pain will be replaced by the wonderful memories that you shared.
I found a link to the Patriot Guard web site on Robert Disharoon:

Rest in Peace, Robert Disharoon.
