He was a hell of a guitarist.
Boys,
You can take the big nap at any time.
I hope you're all paying attention to this. Get out there and enjoy your life while it's still going on.
Don't waste it all away by working your whole life and then dying.
Money means nothing when you're dead.
My dad worked like a dog his whole life and died at age 66. 6 months after he retired...
Other than WWII, I'm not sure he did much besides work.
I think Healey had a little fun along the way though.
Take care.

Yes, yes he was. I've been a huge Jeff Healey fan for ~20 years. While he did have a couple hits, most of his best work didn't get much airplay. Another great, gone too soon.
Here's a couple more links:
An early appearance on the Tonight Show. Can You See the Light (http://youtube.com/watch?v=WNnnmn6qPi0&feature=related)
One of his mainstream hits. Angel Eyes (http://youtube.com/watch?v=QYz_LHKrgDY&feature=related)
and
As the Years Go Passing By (http://youtube.com/watch?v=D1JgMemV91I&feature=related)
Hell, I'll sit through Roadhouse even today, just to catch him playing.

I saw the man in concert three times. His playing blew me away everytime. His technique was so original and off the wall, it also gave him a bag of tricks that most players will never use (how about a fifth stretch on the fretboard).
He will truly be missed.
