I was able to get out on RT395 and put the first 50 miles on my new bike. I had the Gerbings set at 2/3s and I was pretty comfy. I think my heated grips have an issue though.. with them on high they got so hot it was uncomfortable and I had to put them down to low! Only anther 540 miles to go till the first service!

I still have not been able to ride my '06 that has been sitting in the garage since I bought it a month ago.
It is not the temp that keeps my from riding, it is all the ice and snow. We got dumped with anohter 10 inches this past storm. I live a mile down a private road, and at this rate, it will be June before I get to ride!!!
Right now we are 14 inches shy of the all time record for snow in a season, we have had 112 inches so far this season!!!
Man, I have real bad PMS right now!!

Thats aperty machine!!! I did go out and ride around the block. I spent some time with my Mom and Stepfather. They just celebrated 34 years of marriage. We went to Guilford for Brunch. When i got home I needed to fix my garage door. One of the springs broke the other morning.

I did, thank you very much! Not much -- just a 25 mile round trip into town and back but man... I had forgotten what a hoot this bike is to ride!

I have been thinking about going up for that, maybe not the whole weekend, but head up for a day. I want to meet some LT folks. I have been on an '86 goldwing for the last three seasons, and while the goldwing folks are great bunch, at 40, I am definatley the "kid".
I am registered for the Minute man 1000 this year, looks like fun!

I didn't ride, but I did shovel a path to the LT. It is resting on the lift in the little shop of horrors.
The drive is better now, packed snow instead of boiler-plate ice. :)

Monday (later today) 'll be ride day. Sposed to hit mid to upper 40's. Just a bit miffed that my ride isn't home yet, plus the dealer is closed tomorrow. It'll all be good though. It'll be here by mid week and weather permitting I'll be out there...

Rode today with the wife...great weather. She got thoroughly upset at me because her bike ran out of fuel, and she had to switch to reserve. Despite the reminding about why I let the bike run out of fuel, I'll do it again...ride that is. ;)
