Spring is starting to peek its head over the horizon at the moment here in the UK <cue start of snowstorms I guess :) >
Anyway today I spent riding on my K, nicely loosened up with 3,500 miles on it. It's been at times a bind running it in over the winter. Forcing myself to use the bike when the car with all its additional comforts beckoned :).
Well worth it 'cos today the girlfriend noted how much more confident she could notice I am with it, and how fast it was. A Buell rider was a little miffed at getting left for dead at one point, left him trailing :)
He retaliated by squeezing through some traffic gaps when he caught up again ... which were way too tight to squeeze the K with panniers through!
:)
There's a fluidity and smoothness about riding this thing fast it just flows from bend to bend and keeping it a gear under what I'd normally do for tour riding resulted in a real nice sports ride.
I'm just in the final stages of building a new garage to keep the toys in, and the interests of filling the garage with toys I have done a deal to add a Kawasaki ZX12-R to the stable

... woo hooo so now there's a fast sports bike, a fast touring bike and an F650 Funduro trail bike, as well as my daughters SK90PY and Kwasaki AR50.
