OK

I have the new Ohlins for my 2003 LT (Kyle Racing) and am going to put them on myself. I have searched this forum for installation suggestions/tips.

Does anybody have a more complete set of instructions and tips? So far, I have read different things on what has to be removed/done to do the job. I do not need to do a major service--so the less bodywork/part removal the better! Also---any special tools needed?

I suspect that this will be like several other projects on the bike where the second time would take 1/2 the time required to do it the first time---so I would like to communicate with somebody who already has been down the learning curve.

Thanks for any help.

I'd host a tech session if I were you. A great way to meet some other LT'ers, learn about the bike, learn how to tell lies, and save a ton of time on the Ohlins install. Wish I lived closer, I'd come and help. Shock replacement is probably my favorite job on an LT. That, and sanding down those unwanted hard parts. ;)

Best of luck to ya...

Tom,

Check out This (http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/faq.php?faq=how_customization#faq_how_faq_cussusp)...it is located in the HOW or Hall of Wisdom. Lots of good stuff there! :D
