View Full Version : Extra Fare on Wednesday Evening

Generally Wednesday night is an off night with nothing in particular planned. Here is something I would like to toss out for your consideration on Wednesday night. The Heber Valley Railroad (http://www.hebervalleyrr.org/) is about 6 miles away. This would be an evening train ride, with dinner and possible entertainment. It would take a minimum of 100 people to get the cost where it would be affordable.

By voting in the poll we'll know whether to proceed or not.

Sounds like a good idea. What do you estimate the affordable cost to be?

. What do you estimate the affordable cost to be?You might have to do without one night of MD 20/20, though the cardboard and alley will still remain within budget! :p

I don't know how to vote in the poll, but we are interested.

Put us down for 2 seats.

Sounds like a great idea. Not your ordinary motorcycle rally.

This will be our 4th CCR.

Steve, great idea! Now we have almost every night covered. Our one vote would really be two of us, so the numbers are obviously going to be a little on the low side.

While we appreciate you telling us you'll take two, four, six or twelve tickets, the intention of this post was just to see what we would have in interest. I have assumed from the beginning that anyone that posted would be for two tickets understanding that we might have some folks that only wanted one.

Keep watching this forum for the cost and how to purchase them.

Thanks for your interest.

Steve any word on this yet?I'm not Steve ;)

We are still working on this. Look for some news after we make a trip to Utah at the end of this month. We are really having a tough time getting the logistics, pricing and size of the group nailed down.

I am also not clear that they would offer a steam locomotive pull. They have two steam engines, one of which is needing a rebuild and cannot be used. Last fall they said the other only had 25 pulls left in it.

If it was not a steam pull would you still be interested?

Any train ride is a good ride. But I would pay extra for steam.

The Locomotive would certainly add a lot, but the actual train ride is still the pull here (pun intended!). We would still be interested even without the steam. Especially if they decide to use LT's, like Steve said!!
