Is $8500 to much for a 03 Lt with 39000 miles. Needs a back tire. Minor scratchs on one side from a fall over. thanks dale

That seems a bit light to me. For a well a cared for LT, I would think they would sell person-to-person for around $10k, depending on equipment, maintenance records and overall condition.

Kelley Blue Book shows an LT-C '03 trade-in to be worth $7,700 and one purchased used from a dealer to be around $11,500.

You need to see records and assess any visible damage. BMW parts are NOT cheap. Neither is a bike that has not been maintained well.

The vehicles VIN number can also be used to see if the bike is up-to-date on any recalls or other issues.

Proceed with caution. If in doubt, find an LT owner who lives near the seller to go check it out with you.
