Map Update 2008

I read an earlier post about the update and went ahead and ordered one. I did not realize that my 2610 was not compatible with the NT version and so I now have an update DVD that is useless to me. Anyone interested in taking it off my hands?

Garmin should take it back from you...

Wow! I was not aware that Garmin was not supporting the 2610 with update maps anymore. Wonder why? Surely it's not due to map size.

Garmin should take it back from you...I think it's a pretty safe assumption that Garmin would rather have that DVD go to a potential customer than get it back.

The problem here I think is that Garmin sent the NT version. The 2610 mapsource 2008 is available.

Murray is correct, the screw up was mine and mine alone. I ordered the NT version thinking it would work with the 2610. Wrong! Had I been a little more diligent I would have realized I needed a different version. Live and learn. It's available at a bit of a savings to whoever can use it.

Murray is right even in australia the NT version will not go onto a 2610 you have to use the non NT it works fine, I have updated mine to 2008 but you will need a bigger cf card probably a 1gb. the Nt version is for the new zumo's etc
