Well, I talked to David at PMC this afternoon and he says they are hoping to have the poor gal back together by tomorrow afternoon! And the best part is that they say it does appear to be the Slave cylinder, so warranty should catch it all!
I asked him what flavor beer should I bring for the mechanics! (Becks dark seems to be the preference of their newest BMW Tech who is from der fatherland.)
Sometimes things just fall into place ya know.

The Deacon speaks the truth! And, as a Technician for many years myself, I can attest to the fact that it never hurts to throw in some perks for the workers. They will remember you should any future visits to the dealer become needed!

John,
Great news about the bike ,extended warranty comes in handy.

In fact, this is like an extension of my extended warranty Clayton! You see, when I had them go through the Bike almost two years ago, it was because I had some seepage then and I wanted to catch the last of that extended warranty. I did, and the extended warranty went away, but then the BMW Parts & Labor warranty kicked in for two years from then to cover this episode now!
Sometimes the planets do align!

Well, Katie is home, and boy does she shift nice now! I'm thinking that this was a gradual degradation of the Slave (slow bypass, or leak) which never did show it's face over a period of time. I place the absorbent white pads under the Bike when I park her, and never saw any evidence of leakage!
But the best part of the story is the cost: $00.00! BMW warranty covered everything! And that included Jeff from PMC stopping by my house last Sunday and picking the Bike up!
Oh yeah, I guess I was incorrect on the cost. It was actually around $15.00. That is about what the half case of Becks for Alex, their BMW Tech, cost me! Cheapest service call yet!

JohnConventional wisdom dictates to give beer to the mechanics AFTER they finish your bike to keep the number of remaining screws to a minimum! :toast:

Always sound advice Giles! Real cheap insurance to make sure they won't forget you in the future should you ever need their services again too!
