Hi Dez.
600-700 is a pretty good turn out for somewhere like Townsville!
How far do they come from?

I've yet to find time to do an update on the Snowy Ride and post some pics, but there were about 2000+ down there from all over the place.
I saw 3 other LT's, maybe there were more just didn't see em.

Have great ride day!
Chris

dunno how far they come from, but have u ever been here to townvsville and seen how many motorcyclists there are in this city!!! theres about 200,000 in this city and most people have a motorcycle of some description as the local bike shops since the fuel price hike have beeen selling bikes flatout with deals like helmets, gloves and sometimes jackets at giveaway prices.

they have been advertising it flat chat on radio and news paper.the townsville bulliten has about 100,000 readers and goes all over north and north west queensland.the local radio station its being broadcasted onm goes to mackay - 400 kilometers away to the south, and also to cairns about 400 kilometers to the north and to charters towers, 130 kilometers to the west.
living in townsville its like living in asia, motorcycles every where.and why not,we have top weather here.not very hot, about 33 degrees and the humidity isnt so bad.plus motorcycle shops galore from many manufacturers plus 2 custom shops as well, and plenty of motorcycle courses running all the time.
last year there was 600 who turned up, they are expecting 700 this year.
