Looking for some available riders (for a small group ride) who would like to go for a medium ride(s) from Phoenix during the month of december. I have some time off and would like to make some plans and meet some new riders. Drop me a line.

One day rides would be the plan - no stay overs.

Weekdays or weekends?

I'm available for a little of both I suppose - I have some flexibility (I'm a small business owner). Sorry for the late reply, I didn't know that there was a message waiting. Do you have some time that you would like to donate to the motorcycle riding foundation of Arizona? That's a non-profit organization I just made up... we take donations too. :)

Jarrod,
Please describe some particular destination you may have had in mind or what kind of riding you are interested in, senic, lunch, or?? I am assuming you want to stay in the valley? I can go most anywhere for an afternoon. Sometimes poker runs are fun.
I have events planned every Saturday morning until after 12 noon, then I'm free to ride. Sundays are usually a great day for me to ride around the valley. If you are interested in a week day ride, then I am pretty much hit and miss and might have to cancel at the last minuite, depending on the nature of business.

I was thinking more along the lines of day trips, not poker/valley runs. For example: Tombstone, Sedona, Flagstaff, Prescott, Tucson, Jerome, Saguaro National Park, Payson, Strawberry, Winslow, Nogales, et cetera. I have three dogs and a cat that might well riot if they didn't get some personal time along with some treats sometime within a 24 hour period; thus the day trips. My wife will be visiting family this month, so I have more time than usual to take advantage of. Moreover, any destination that eats up part or all the day riding, get to see some new things, try some different food at a different restaurant, the usual motorcycle drill I suppose. Sundays are typically very good days for riding, at least for me. Maybe we should set something up for this Sunday? I'm available this Sunday and I might be able to entice of a few other riders I know.

Sunday sounds like a good idea to me. I haven't been on Goldie for at least 10 days now and I miss riding. (just been real busy) Anyway, a meeting place should be where the intended departure is to take place. I don't really want to his the hills like Prescot or Payson earlier than 11:00 because it will still be cold. BTW, if it's going to rain or be overcast, I'll be watching football :) So, You name the trip destination and perhaps we can meet for a brunch or just have lunch at our mid-day stop, then travel on. I have been around most of the areas you are describing so for me this will be mostly a social event. Are you taking yout LT? Do you have a CB radio?

Agreed on the rain or pending rain scenario.
I've visited all these areas too, but it's still good to get out. I don't have a CB, but wouldn't mind picking one up. Are they hard to setup? I've been wanting one, this could be a good excuse. Do you recommend one and a store to get it? RadioShack?
Okay Destination... although it's a common ride, it's one of our better rides, I was thinking Phoenix to Wickenberg, to Prescott, to Jerome, and finally to Sedona or Flagstaff the back route of course. In addition, while in Prescott we (whomever may be in the group) can discuss going any further or going on into Sedona or Flagstaff.
Where do you live, so that we can establish a meeting point? I live in Ahwatukee and have no problems meeting anywhere.
Meet around 10 am (to let the morning cold burn-off) and eat lunch in Prescott.
Anyone reading this post (and is in town and able) is welcome to come along.

That all sounds good to me Jarrod. I live in the sticks on the North of Scottsdale off of 160th and Rio Verde (Dynamite) near Trune or Pinnacle Peak. I can hit the 101 west to a spot of your choice.

Well if this ride comes to and I have nothing going on Sunday (I still prefer rides during the week) I'll hook up with you guys somewhere in/near Surprise. Or even Wickenburg.
Hey maybe we can get John W. outta bed to have lunch with us in Prescott? :)

We'll eat lunch in Prescott, so if you're eating breakfast do it before the ride I suppose. I'm working on a meeting location.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we can meet at the Desert Ridge Mall at the mimi's Cafe located in the southwest corner of the mall parking lot. I believe it's Loop 101 and Tatum Boulevard. We can meet at 10:00 am and depart at 10:15 am. We can meet again in Wickenberg for anyone else wanting to ride along with us to Prescott for lunch. Just the name the location in Wickenberg. Stew do I have my coordinates right... that's more your area of town than mine. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll be at the Texaco just across from the Wickenburg multi GM dealer. Brom I believe is the name. 10:30.

Harry, it's going to take us longer then that to reach Wickenberg. I'd shoot for 11:00 to 11:15 am for us to get there. If you don't mind, shoot me a PM with a cell number (if you have one) in case I need to get you Sunday morning. I'll return your pm with mine as well.

Yup! I get the ticket and Glen gets a warning. I had to go to school just so the fine would be lowered to...$90. Sheez. Course a few months after my shock the limit was raised from 35 to 45.
Cell number in your PM box.

We all enjoyed meeting and riding with you as well. Steve wanted to make sure that I told you so long for now, he felt bad he missed ya. We try to find excuses to ride all the time so we'll keep in touch. Here's the Nolan helmet eBay link if you're at all interested in picking one up. We'll talk soon and have a good work week. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8022587546&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_ReBay_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT or Item number: 8022587546
