Hovering for a minute or so is quite a bit different than flying that contraption any appreciable distance ... that's for sure. Funny though. :)

By the time OSHA or the Transportation DE-partment has a go at him, the prop cage alone will make it too heavy to fly...

There was a Japanese Inventor at COMDEX a few years ago, he had invented a unit very close to that one.

He had videos of flying from his yard to his office in Tokyo where he landed on the buildings roof.

He had a Ballistic Parachute mounted under the seat aiming rearward.

The way it was cabled to the machine meant if deployed he hung face down with the rotors to the side.
