Newbie question: Is there any BMW or BMWLT gatherings at bike week? Isn't there a campground where the BMW types hangs out?
Thanks,
Hip

Yes, its at the Holiday Travel Park just north of Daytona off of 95 exit 278.
If your going check out the things at the Speedway, vendors (myself included), demo rides, plus you can get into the speedway for free by NASCAR turn three to check out some of the on track action.

Holliday Travel Park. I'll be by there to see yall I hope!
Thank you Nplenzick
Trailer week! LOL!
I admit back in the pre-BMW days I trailered the naked 1982 CB900F to Daytona rode around Daytona and to Ormond in the cold then back to the trailer for the ride home with the heater on. In my defence it was the only way the wife would agree to go.

We'll be camped at the Lake Lloyed area inside the speedway.
If you get a chance stop by our booth we'll be next the Daytona 500 experience under one of the big white tents.

Many times to bikeweek but none inside the track. I'm interested! Do we just ride through the tunnel?

All you do is ride your bike thru the tunnel at turn #3, it's that simple. The speedway calls it turn #4 but I don't know how you get 4 turns out of a tri oval.
They will also have a bike builders row along with entertainment in the infield. All free of charge.
We are a distributor for Roadgear products. We were hoping to have our own rainwear for sale but that's been delayed for a few months.

Only issue with the Holiday park is I-95 never shuts up. Take ear plugs.
Good thing is- they don't like noisy bikes and have quiet time 11-7.

I was at the BMW campground last year and I was a little dissapointed with it. So this year Im going to stay in a hotel again. My girlfriend isn't in to crawing into my little tent. I used to always stay at Tomoka State Park and that was great. Very quite area and you meet the nicest people camping. If she wasn't going with me I would be there again this year. I enjoyed the BMW sponsored show at the BMW dealer last year, that guy could really ride that bike. Hope to meet some BMW owners this year.

Rode through the Holliday park yesterday and saw some BMW's but not any vendors? Was hoping to find some BMW bling/farkles.

I heard that there were'nt very many vendors there ( we were at the speedway). The only thing I can say it's probably the economy. This is really going to hurt the smaller venues as it no longer makes sense to travel to a rally or venue that only attracts a few hundred people and with the cost of fuel, well it's making it difilcuilt to say the least. Most vendors I talked to were down 30% including myself.

You missed one fine party BMW NA gave Friday Night at the Marriott Residence Inn near the airport. Great food, companionship and door prizes. The race team also had a great week: 1st and 3rd in the Thunder bike race (K1200S) on Tuesday and 5 & 6, or was that 6 & 7, at the 200 mile enduro on Saturday.
