I usually just lurk and glean tidbits of experience and information. However, like some others, I've developed the beginning of bucking bronco and high idle on my 07K1200GT. Dealer jumped right on it when I struck up the topic and asked "what's up with this". Had me bring the bike in and they fettled it - that's what BMW says to try first. Tech (who I trust) said he immediately saw the problem ( everything was way too tight) and, following BMW's instructions, honed out the airbox. Weather didn't permit a trial ride ( we've had storms and snow on the North Oregon Coast of late) so he instructed me to take it out first chance I got and run it for at least 10 minutes at high RPM ( around 5K) :) and see if the symptoms return. If they don't, it's fixed (for now). If they do - it's a new airbox fur shur! Did it all under warranty with a smile and no sidestepping. That's what I like about these guys.

Ten minutes is not enough time to test the fettle. It could take hours, days, or even months but you will be back.
According to BMW's own bulletin they should have replaced the airbox and updated the software. See respone #9 of http://www.i-bmw.com/showthread.php?t=12142
