Have just made hotel reservations for Americade '08 and got the last 3 rooms at the luxurious Econolodge in Lake George for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd of June '08.
I mention this not to brag about the high quality accomodations I have arranged for the lovely Mrs. Clark & I .... but to remind others interested in attending to get their room booked now.
You can check out the "World's Largest Touring Rally" at the link below.

Totally doing it! It's like three hours from home.
(I especially want to see them BBQ a BMW on Saturday; never seen that before)

If you didn't know there are many vendors including myself who will be set up starting May 30 in Warrensburg ( Just north of Lake George). We'll be next to the Post Office.

I'll be there. :)
My brother and I rented a house for the week. It works out to be less expensive than hotel rooms and we'll have much more space.

Thanks for the "heads up" Nick. We'll definitely plan to stop by and check out what you're doing there. Want to see the Back-a-Line product you're selling and more.
Why are you and others setting up 6 miles from Americade?

When we tried to get into Americade last year no one returned my phone calls or e mails. I was approached by a fellow who does alot of Goldwing events and manages the lot next to the post office in Warrensburg. He suggested to give his lot a try. I'm glad I did! Roadgear sets up at the Expo center in Lake George, working pretty much by myself I blew them out of the water in sales, selling pretty much the same thing! The vendor pricing is reasonable (while down in Lake George it's thru the roof), I can keep the motorhome on site, four more days to sell, lot's of people, all in all it's just a nicer and a more profitable experience. Stop by and try a Back-A-Line on you'll know in a few minutes if it help you our not.

One thing to remember about A'cade (a great rally) Bill Dutcher (the promoter) rules the road in Lake George. LG becomes his sandbox, and if you want to play you MUST PAY him. And the costs are high. If you want to join in the commerce you MUST set up outside LG. Some have tried to set up in LG and were run out of town. He is King during that week.
