I plan on shipping the bike oneway to my Mom's place in Pennsylvania. We have 17 days mapped out for CCR and the return but don't really have the time to ride both ways. As it is, it will be about 4000 miles by the time we are back in the barn. I wish I had another ten days to take a couple different routes there and back. We are planning to take eight days riding back after CCR so we can take our time, see the countryside, and meet up with riding buddies rather than rocket across the purple mountains and fertile plains on a short deadline. One reason for doing it is simply that we can and it may not always be that way. Another is that we hope to do a fall colors ride in the northeast some time in the next couple years and I want to see how this whole bike shipping concept works. It's definitely not a cheap proposition but certainly no worse than a lot of other "hobbies" and we are confident our time together along with the memories we share will be priceless.

After doing the ride for 6 weeks on the way to and from Breck, I can say that you have the right idea! You just need to manage to get more time!!!

More time would be great. It's coming. But not yet.....
