Air box sensor

Today I was taking the LT apart to replace the throttle cables,when I went to remove the air box,the wiring to the sensor had been unplugged and wrapped in electrical tape.Can anyone tell me a reason someone would do this?Should I reconnect it when I reassemble?Leave it off?I am a bit mystified why it was removed. Thanks for any help on this mystery. Jeff

You're welcome, Jeff. Thang is, I can't take the credit - it ain't me!!! Somebody else did the hard work and I just come along and point it out now and then.

There prolly isn't anythang regarding the LT that hasn't been covered; talked about; solved; improved upon; suggested; shown; kicked around; some optimistic - some pessimistic --- all can be found somewhere in the HoW pages or on the old yahoo archived site and in somebody's thread/post. There's the fountain of knowledge!! :thumb:

Some people have installed a on/off switch for the sensor. For you, ten months out of the year you can get by with the sensor plugged in (or switched on). Most people had problems with hesitation (below 2,000 rpm) when the temperatures go over 80 degrees. I was one of the lucky ones and had a new computer installed under warranty.
