On Monday, January 7th, My loving wife's father, JD Brown, mounted his tractor to plow the "last row"...

You lived to watch things grow
your dream, love and children sow
raise them as they are to go
they will always find the row

Years stretched by
each life to try
as dreams will fly
revealing why

Mighty steed of humble deed
tows plane, disc then seed
builds the earth to form the row
Soon reveal hidden life to grow

Season to season, Year to year
trodding the rows with trusting fear
Sky fixed eye and grounded ear
working earth to feed those dear

Turn each row, spin the plow
pull line taught, drawn by plow
disc turned earth opens power
for life giving source for flower

Down the field line pulls tight
another row draws seed to life
Son drives seed from dark to light
as the last row is pulled in life....

JD,
Thank you for sharing your loving family and especially the gift of your precious daughter as my loving bride and tender mother of my children..

Godspeed and we'll see each other in the great fields beyond this veil of tears..

My condolences to Phyllis, Channing. The hurt in her heart during this time will surely be eased by your touch, your embrace, your inner strength, your thoughtful eulogy to JD, and your family's endearing support.

Channing, my thoughts go out to you, I became an orphan in early December, and you never forget, you just get used to it. Tell Phylis I'm thinking of her.
