mounting a mio on a r1150rt

Hi all,
Has anyone had experience mounting a "mio" gps on an 1150 rt?

I am in Australia and i am not sure if you have the "Mio" in the States or not.( If not, recommend you get them!)

I have one and while i am happy with the unit, I am not sure if I want to trust the suction cup mount that comes with the unit. Now I am happy to take a risk once in a while but I feel i am stretching it a bit with this concept.

Any clues ? Thanks to all.

I don't have a Mio, which we do have here in the States, but have you tried just putting it in the top of a tank bag if you have one? The newer GPS's, with the Sirf III chip, pick up the satellites very well.

Just a thought...........
