Hello everyone....I'm one of the ones that have been lurking around this fantastic board for almost a year now and not saying a peep....only because I have yet to take the plunge and buy my new 2008 K1200LT, which I hope , after the wife gives me final permission, will be April or May of this year AND TO avoid sounding stupid to a great group of LT riders. Please don't hate me but I'm still forced to ride a 03' Harley Davidson Road Glide w/75,000 miles. So please be kind to this fledling....truly I really really really am a future LT Driver...I promise, I promise!!!!! :bmw:

Now for the meat and taters of my rant......for those who have Autocoms...I just wanted to let all the Autocom heads out there who have complained about the lousy performance of their stock speakers., there's hope......well I was finally fed up with mine and decided to do something about it. I perused this site and internet and found EDSETS..some of you have mentioned the name.

Well...I bought a pair of the new EDSETS speakers ($24.00) and installed them when I got home this moring at 0300hrs, AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!!! YEE HAAAAA....REALLY HAPPY. The cutting, splicing of wires, soldering and shrink wrapping everything was very painless and took about 40mins. Tested them out of the helmet and my GAWD...they are friggin fantastic!!!! Sound should be twice as better confined in the ole melon protector!

I'm new to this sort of thing, but I really wished I had taken picture throughout the entire process so I could share them with with you all....I was quite proud of my self! You see I'm a LEO with all thumbs and have a hard time thinkng out of the box and doing tedious mini work with my hands..but I chanced it and came out of my shell and actually did something well!!!! :histerica

Autocom Active-Plus with EDSETS speakers are the bomb :yeah:

Well that's it for now...who ever thought of this board ought to be given a Peoples Globe Award.....this site is the best I've ever lurked on...far above any Harley Site. When I get my K1200LT would like to hook up with some LT riders living around the Whittier/La Habra/La Mirada area. Hope I didn't say too much for my first post!!! Be safe everyone!!!
