I have found another use for the Alarms built into the 376C.

As I identify speed traps or places where I usually encounter Radar/Laser/Pacing I make a waypoint in the 376C.
I then set a proximity alarm for 1 mile distance.

Next time I travel the road and get withing a mile of the speed trap the 376C alerts me to the location in time to adjust my speed if necessary.

Same thing with bad road surface conditions like major potholes or surface transitions.

In the UK, speed cameras are a fact of life, and quite common. They even sell a cheap mini-gps unit that knows where they all are and will give you the proximity warnings. Now you can probably just download the way points into your GPS much the same as is done with the BMW dealer lists. As they get more technology, then we need to get more technology.
