Called a while back and you guys were great with all the help. Santa left me with a Passport 8500 with the direct wire smart cord. I am hoping that I can find someone that can tell me locate the correct wire that will place the tones into my helmet intercom. I did connect the Passport to an external speaker to confirm that the unit was working, but no matter which intercom wire I probe, I have been unable to hear the tone in my helmet. Please help, Les.

Your previous posts show you have an '06 LT...I assume it has the VOICE II intercom.
If you do not have the BMW GPS connected to the VOICE II you can use the GPS input into the VOICE II for your radar detector. The plug is located under the left side of the stingray. It will be a two wire unused plug. Splice the two wires from you radar detector into these two wires and when your detector alerts you'll hear it in the headset.

I have the GPS installed on the bike so is it possible to still tap into the wire harness without interferring with the GPS?

I believe you could make a passive mixer and introduce both audio signals into the GPS audio-in plug on the VOICE II. I made one for use with an Autocom I had on my '00LT and it worked fine.
Do a search for "passive mixer" and you should find the info you need to make one. They're easy to assemble.
