I pull a Unigo with my LT and find it works great. I am about to order a 2008 1200GSA and would like to pull the Unigo with it. I checked with the U.S. manufacturers of Unigo, www.schoolhousemcacc.com who told me they have no plans to manufacture a hitch for the 1200GS due to liability concerns.

Has anyone else pulled a Unigo with a 1xxxGS and any suggestions where I can get a hitch from?

What are the liability issues regarding a GS, and how do they differ from towing a Unigo with any other bike? Is it the possibility that a GS rider would take his bike -- with trailer -- off-road?

Mark has not laid out the details, but commented to me about the large amount of travel.

....and, in case you were getting ready to ask Howard, I'm sure Bill is referring to rear suspension travel and the effect on the hitch joint.

Just trying to be presumptuous ;)

Schoolhouse didn't tell me the reason for the liability concern. I'm assuming it has to do with the amount of suspension travel and chances that the trailer affecting stability of the bike on rough roads.

I checked with Dauntless Motors and are planning to design a hitch for the GS but nothing yet.
